Why This Change?
After several tests carried out by Studio 397 in preparation for this upcoming event, some anomalies were detected in the network traffic of its high-performance servers. To work around this issue, new configuration approaches were explored on the servers, but there is not enough time before the event to carry out the various necessary tests. It was also mentioned that the most recent 4, 6, and 8-hour Special Events, with 38 cars on track, ran normally and without any problems. However, larger events with more than 130 users connected to the servers made it possible to identify issues that still need to be resolved.
What Is the Plan After February 27?
If everything goes well at the February 27 event, the plan is to move forward with a new 12-hour race the following day. Afterwards, the races will be analyzed, and if necessary, additional tests will be conducted before announcing a new 24-hour event.
Motorsport Games acknowledges that for those eagerly awaiting a 24-hour race, this is not the ideal plan, but emphasizes the importance of prioritizing conditions to ensure stable events that satisfy the users.
