February 10 marked the release of version 1.2.3.0 (Update 2, Patch 3) of Le Mans Ultimate. With several improvements to the simulator, the main highlight of this update is the long-awaited introduction of the new tire for Hypercars.
As is well known among the informed community of the FIA World Endurance Championship, published by Motorsport Games & Studio 397, up until now the Hypercars used tire physics based on a model from an older title, rFactor 2. The newly introduced tire physics bring a completely new dynamic to the simulator’s most powerful cars, which is sure to please a community that has been steadily growing and eagerly seeks anything that adds realism to this experience.
Alongside the new tire—and in some cases as a result of its introduction—various aspects of the mechanics and dynamics of the Hypercars and other cars have been refined:
- Adjusted brake heating parameters for Hypercars
- Adjusted traction control maps for Hypercars to better suit the updated tyres
- Force feedback balancing for Hypercars
- Fixed inconsistencies in electric motor power
- Fixed issue with Hypercar soft tyres appearing extremely shiny above 24 km/h
- Hypercars damage adjustments: stronger rear wing, reinforced suspension, reduced engine power
- First version of the new Hypercars Balance of Performance (BOP) for updated tyres
- Minor revision of the GT3 BOP
- Revision of track limit target times for all cars
Here is a detailed overview of everything else that was updated in the simulator.
