After introducing a new User Interface with the launch of Season 1 this year, iRacing continues on the right track with Season 2, bringing new features that give users greater control over the amount of information available.

One of these new features is the UI Profile, which allows users to fully customize the interface to their liking. It is now possible to switch between different layouts and HUD (Head-Up Display) configurations depending on personal preference. You can even create specific profiles for each car, as different classes often require different data or positioning on screen. There is also a new file dedicated to storing these settings, making it easier to share profiles and app.ini configurations.

With the new season, Real-Time Telemetry is also introduced. A new element displays throttle and brake traces, showing how both inputs are applied over time. This feature is available as an option within the speed/gear widget and in the replay/session screen.

Two new widgets arrive with the new season: Session Widget and Session Rules Widget.

The first brings together important session information that was previously scattered across different parts of the interface, such as lap count or remaining time, in-sim time (Sim Time), whether session scoring has ended, and other relevant data.

Another new feature aimed at improving accessibility is the Visual Spotter. This will be particularly useful for those using the simulator on a single monitor, as it provides visual cues that hardware limitations might otherwise hide. It’s worth noting, however, that this is not a radar system.

Starting with Season 2, there are also improvements to the Driving Line, making it easier and more intuitive to toggle on and off through a configurable button.

No futuro, serão também introduzidas melhorias no Time Attack, Resultados e Dashboard.
