The track that hosts the Grand Prix of Alabama, one of the most traditional rounds of the IndyCar Series, was among the first circuits to arrive in iRacing. Recently, Barber Motorsports Park underwent significant changes, including a full resurfacing, updated runoff areas, and structural improvements. Because of this, the iRacing team recently returned to Alabama to rescan the circuit, rebuilding it from the ground up for the simulator.

Players who already owned Barber Motorsports Park in their simulator library will receive the new track for free. However, it’s important to note that the shorter versions of the circuit were not reconstructed, due to their limited use and because most of them became obsolete following the recent work.

In addition to the work done on this track, graphical improvements have been made to several other circuits in the simulator:

  • Langley Speedway
  • USA International Speedway

There will also be graphical updates for Long Beach Street Circuit and Sebring International Raceway, along with the introduction of new 3D curbs and rumble strips at the Red Bull Ring.
